The stainless steel craze started with the residential use of commercial-style ranges from manufacturers such as Viking and FiveStar.
Soon more and more appliances started featuring the stainless steel neutral look, which complements almost every design style and color. Of course, stainless steel appliances have a contemporary feel. But they are also finding their way into traditional kitchens, housed in oak, maple or cherry wood cabinetry, which tends to soften their starkness.
Now almost every new kitchen has at least one stainless appliance, or it’s not complete.
The stainless steel interiors of appliances need to be maintained the same way as the stainless steel exteriors. |

Stainless steel is fairly easy to clean. However, it does require certain cleaning techniques.
• Wipe with the grain.
• Never use cleaning products that contain chlorine bleach.
• Never use an abrasive cleanser or abrasive pad - it will scratch the finish.
• Use a mild detergent, or wipe with a vinegar dampened cloth. Or use cleaners especially designed for stainless steel, which can be purchased through HADCO, in home improvement stores, and in many grocery stores.
• Rubbing alcohol will makes stainless steel shine.
